Security

Detector Checker uses HTTPS to protect data in transit. The public detector does not require a user account or password. These controls reduce risk, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

How the detector is protected

  • Analysis requests are accepted only through validated POST requests.
  • Uploaded files are checked for permitted type and size before extraction.
  • Rate limiting helps protect service availability from automated or excessive use.
  • PDF, DOCX, and RTF files are read from PHP’s request-scoped temporary upload and deleted before extracted text is returned in the normal application flow. Unexpected system failures may delay physical cleanup.
